This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Create and execute strong dimensional and relational data models that facilitate analytical needs across Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
• Develop and sustain scalable dbt transformation pipelines, ensuring superior data quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness from raw data ingestion to business-ready outputs.
• Take ownership of the transformation and modeling of curated (Silver/Gold) datasets, guaranteeing clear contracts and traceability from raw data to business-ready formats.
• Collaborate with data engineering to construct and manage data pipelines and Delta Lake tables within Databricks, including fundamental ingestion, transformation, and orchestration tasks.
• Work alongside data analysts, product analytics teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into durable data products that facilitate experimentation, A/B testing, and advanced analytics.
• Establish data quality tests, monitoring, SLAs, and alerts to ensure the reliability of critical analytical datasets.
• Enhance our LLM development support by creating tools, skills, and agents that provide our LLMs with additional context, continuously improving their ability to debug, generate code, and maintain systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to define and uphold data contracts, ensuring schema stability and reducing downstream disruptions.
• Advocate and promote best practices in analytics engineering, including version control, code review, testing standards, and documentation.
• Foster self-service analytics by developing intuitive, well-documented data marts and semantic layers.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or similar roles involving enterprise-scale data, demonstrating ownership of data products and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience utilizing AI/LLM coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code), with a disciplined method of reviewing, testing, and owning generated code rather than accepting it uncritically.
• Advanced SQL skills with a profound understanding of query optimization and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience with dbt (data build tool), including testing, documentation, and package management.
• Strong programming capabilities in Python for data manipulation, automation, and custom analytics workflows.
• Robust understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, one big table, and other data modeling methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Databricks platform, including SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog; experience with other modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) is advantageous and readily transferable.
• Knowledge of orchestration frameworks and the scheduling of analytics transformations within broader data workflows.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and implementing CI/CD for analytics code.
• Strong business insight and the ability to translate business requirements into well-structured data models.
• Previous experience in advertising, ad tech, or media data is preferred.
• Awareness of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA, and SOX).
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Mode, or similar) and how analysts engage with data.
• A strong ownership mindset with a passion for thoroughly understanding ambiguous business challenges and converting them into clean, maintainable, and well-tested data models.
• Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commitment to data quality, documentation, and empowering others through self-service analytics.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
