Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable, production-quality data models and analytics frameworks that enhance decision-making across our seven international markets.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to establish success metrics, assess product outcomes, and transform data into actionable insights.

• Facilitate self-service analytics through reliable metrics, reusable semantic models, and scalable data products that empower teams to find answers independently and showcase the impact of their efforts.

• Utilize AI and contemporary analytics tools to expedite insight generation, enhance analytics workflows, and enable stakeholders to engage with data more effectively.

• Persistently enhance our analytics platform through comprehensive modeling, testing, documentation, and adherence to engineering best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and maintaining production data models utilizing SQL and modern transformation tools (e.g., Dataform, SQLMesh, or dbt).

• Proficient SQL skills along with a working knowledge of Python.

• Familiarity with BigQuery and a BI tool, preferably Looker.

• Comfortable collaborating with Product Managers and business stakeholders to convert questions into scalable analytics solutions.

• A proactive and pragmatic approach complemented by strong communication skills and a commitment to making data accessible and reliable.

• Bonus points for:

• Exposure to data science or machine learning applications in a business context.

• Experience in product analytics, event tracking, funnel analysis, or experimentation.

• Background in rapidly growing operational businesses (e.g., logistics, marketplaces, or field services).
