Senior Analyst, Revenue Billing Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete billing processes in Zuora, which includes recurring billing, adjustments, dunning, and the generation of invoices, credit memos, and debit memos.

• Manage intricate billing spreadsheets in Zuora and Excel, encompassing the calculation of billing ranges based on sales orders to ensure precise invoicing and reconciliation.

• Create and modify subscriptions in Zuora to reflect customer agreements and billing protocols.

• Handle billing case intake and triage through Salesforce, collaborating with Sales and Support teams to address inquiries, escalations, corrections, and adjustments.

• Conduct reconciliation and validation across billing systems, identify inconsistencies, and take corrective measures.

• Collaborate with and provide direction to an offshore billing operations team, ensuring adherence to processes, quality standards, and timely delivery.

• Work alongside IT and Finance on integrations and upgrades of billing systems.

• Utilize AI tools in billing workflows to automate reconciliation processes, analyze exceptions, and enhance validation methods.

• Mentor junior staff and contribute to ongoing improvement and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in B2B billing operations.

• Practical experience with Zuora, including subscription management, invoicing workflows, and workbook oversight.

• Familiarity with Salesforce for managing billing case intake, triage, escalation tracking, and resolving cross-functional issues.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail within large datasets and complex billing situations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in mentoring others and collaborating with Sales, Finance, Support, and product teams.

• Knowledge of Sage Intacct, advanced Excel, Google Workspace, SOX-compliant documentation, BPO partnership support, or AI and automation in billing or finance operations.
