
Senior Analyst, Quality Control – BSA/AML & Sanctions Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Conduct independent quality assessments across BSA/AML and Sanctions Operations, which includes alerts, cases, intricate investigations, merchant acquiring, and sanctions outcomes.
• Implement the weekly QC sample utilizing UAT-measured review durations.
• Evaluate each item against the five-element documentation standard and the Knowledgeable Third-Party Standard.
• Categorize findings using the error taxonomy and document the rationale clearly and consistently.
• Offer constructive and objective feedback to analysts and investigators.
• Engage in monthly calibration sessions.
• Identify recurring quality issues and escalate them to the QC Lead for thematic review and effective challenge follow-up.
• Maintain QC working documents in the results repository.
• Assist with audit and examination requests by providing evidence of review.
• Uphold independence through read-only reviews without production disposition authority.
• Identify product-specific red flags and confirm dispositions across card issuing/prepaid, acquiring, tax products, digital/faster payments, and sanctions.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• CAMS certification is preferred; if not currently held, it is expected to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in BSA/AML alert review, investigations, or QC/QA roles.
• Proficiency in Actimize, FCRM, and/or Bridger as well as case-management workflows.
• Previous experience in quality review, peer review, or independent testing is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize patterns with a focus on documentation quality.
• Objectivity and consistency in applying sampling and error taxonomy standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing at an examiner-ready standard.
• Proficient in Excel data analysis and SharePoint.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on providing constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with card issuing/prepaid products, acquiring, tax products, digital/faster payments, and sanctions screening outcomes.
• Understanding of OFAC, 314(a), and PEP screening outcomes as well as match/no-match documentation standards.
