This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using Python to generate reports and tools.
• Write intricate SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval, aggregation, and reporting.
• Create financial and operational tools in Excel utilizing VBA, macros, custom functions, PivotTable automation, and Power Query integration.
• Connect with RESTful APIs employing secure authentication and credential management.
• Analyze pipeline performance and optimize Python code and SQL execution strategies.
• Document ETL workflows and data models while maintaining a centralized data catalog.
• Collaborate with RMCC, Analytics, BI, and Commercial Services teams to convert use cases into scalable data products.
• Guide junior analysts and developers in best practices for Python, SQL, and VBA and conduct knowledge-sharing workshops.
• Provide guidance to business and technical partners on analytics best practices and the adoption of data products.
• Establish and assess performance metrics and measure the impact of data products.
• Design performance-outlook dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for the automated testing and deployment of analytics data products.
• Develop star/snowflake data models to facilitate reporting.
• Ensure adherence to security and data governance policies, encompassing secure credential management and access controls.
• A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in analytics or data engineering roles.
• Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries using Redshift, SQL Server, or MySQL, including stored procedures.
• At least two (2) years of experience in coding development with macros, automation, and PivotTables.
• Proficient in Python, including ETL frameworks, pandas, and NumPy.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including Power Query and functions.
• Experience in gathering requirements for KPI frameworks and reporting systems.
• Capability to translate business inputs into data narratives and dashboard designs that enhance operational performance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience in cross-functional project management and requirements translation.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Alteryx, or Power BI.
• Experience with Airtable, Salesforce, GitLab, and Power Automate.
• Front-end website development experience is a plus.
