Senior Analyst, Physician Advocacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide analytical, project management, and operational assistance to the Regional Advocacy team.

• Concentrate on initiatives related to physician health and safety, alongside regional advocacy objectives.

• Coordinate projects and offer support to provincial and regional working groups focused on physician health and safety.

• Create briefing materials, evaluation reports, briefing notes, summaries, recommendations, presentations, and reports.

• Facilitate meetings and oversee the monitoring and tracking of annual agreement funding.

• Develop analytical methods, synthesize complex information, identify emerging issues, and deliver strategic recommendations.

• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses of data from regional and local Health Authority Engagement Surveys.

• Communicate analytical results to physician groups, health authority partners, committees, and internal stakeholders.

• Review policies from health authorities, medical staff rules, and other system-wide matters.

• Collaborate with Regional Advisors and Advocates, physicians, health authority representatives, and cross-functional teams.

• Address complex inquiries and influence stakeholders towards practical solutions that enhance physician working conditions, safety, and advocacy outcomes throughout British Columbia.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed graduate university degree and/or a recognized professional designation in a specialized field, along with up to six years of progressive and relevant experience; or equivalent related work experience in place of post-secondary education.

• Proven success in conducting quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.

• Experience in managing evaluation, research, or analytical projects.

• Proficiency in program evaluation and quality improvement methodologies.

• Exceptional writing abilities to create clear, concise, and comprehensive evaluation reports, briefing notes, and presentations for various audiences.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and analytical tools and software.

• Strategic and tactical problem-solving skills, including the capability to translate strategic objectives into concrete action plans and outcomes.

• Experience in knowledge translation and/or supporting learning organizations.

• Basic understanding of the organization and its interconnected components within the BC healthcare system.

• Excellent judgment in prioritizing tasks, proactively identifying issues, and deciding on necessary actions under pressure and tight deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse groups with varying interests.

• Superior interpersonal, oral communication, and relationship management skills.

• Must be open to working remotely in a distributed work environment, travel occasionally as required, and occasionally work outside of regular business hours.

• Familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or R is preferred.

• A Master's degree in a health-related field, experience collaborating with external consultants on analytical projects, and knowledge of the Patient Medical Home model, Primary Care Networks, and primary care are considered assets.
