This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +15 more states.
• Assess portfolio performance, focusing on delinquency rates, defaults, loss patterns, concentrations, and exposure limits.
• Detect early warning signs and potential areas of emerging credit or operational risk.
• Analyze financial statements, payment histories, and borrower performance to determine ongoing creditworthiness.
• Suggest modifications to risk ratings based on financial outcomes and other pertinent factors.
• Create and implement action plans aimed at minimizing portfolio risk and enhancing performance.
• Generate regular portfolio reports, trend analyses, and presentations for management review.
• Collaborate with Credit, Sales, Operations, and Asset Management on portfolio strategies and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Supply analysis and supporting data for discussions within the credit committee.
• Assess the effectiveness of current credit policies, scorecards, and decision-making processes.
• Keep accurate records and supporting documentation in line with internal policies and audit requirements.
• Support special projects related to portfolio analytics, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in portfolio analysis, credit analysis, credit risk, operational risk, or a similar role in financial services.
• Strong skills in financial statement analysis and credit evaluation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in developing financial models.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets and effectively communicate findings and risk considerations.
• Experience with risk-rating methodologies and metrics for portfolio performance.
• Background in data analytics, including regression analysis or comparable statistical techniques.
• Previous experience in equipment leasing, commercial lending, or a related asset-based finance sector.
• Knowledge of business development functions and commercial decision-making processes.
• Familiarity with credit scorecards or automated decisioning tools is preferred.
• Analytical mindset and intellectually curious.
• Strategic thinker with a forward-looking perspective.
• Innovative in tackling complex business and risk-related challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in collaborating with stakeholders across various departments.
