Senior Analyst, Business – ROPS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Initiate and/or maintain ongoing communication with facilities to guarantee the timely and accurate receipt of each patient's insurance coverage information.

• Input insurance details into the billing system.

• Verify patient insurance with payors, including eligibility and benefits related to outpatient kidney dialysis.

• Accurately update Patient Registration and associated systems as needed.

• Collaborate closely with Patient Referral Coordinators (PRC) to gather necessary documentation for successful patient registration.

• Work alongside the facility and Insurance Management Team to address incomplete registrations.

• Analyze registration denials received to identify root causes.

• Rectify patient account errors leading to registration denials.

• Assist in identifying process improvements to prevent failed registrations.

• Determine Coordination of Benefits as required; ensure current patient account information is maintained at all times.

• Follow up as necessary to confirm insurance changes are verified and the line of coverage is reset.

• Submit internal requests such as RCUs, SMARTFORMS, PCS Inquiries, SPA Requests, etc., to ensure accurate and timely claims submission to the appropriate payor.

• Complete all ancillary reports and assigned projects within established deadlines.

• Provide support to Patient Account Representatives and other ROPS teammates as needed.

• Uphold the confidentiality of all company and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include working overtime with little or no notice, attending team meetings, phone conferences, and training as necessary, and adhering to teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.

• Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance as scheduled is a fundamental responsibility of this position.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of healthcare reimbursement experience is preferred; experience with admissions, billing, and collections is also preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance rules, regulations, and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors in multiple states is preferred.

• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
