Senior Algorithms Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and enhance algorithms operating within Keen AI Cortex.

• Take full ownership of algorithmic features by conceptualizing, implementing, testing, deploying, and monitoring them in a live environment.

• Contribute to related Python backend initiatives involving Django, FastAPI APIs, and AWS infrastructure.

• Uphold engineering standards including code reviews, testing, continuous integration gates, documentation, and organized workflows.

• Utilize AI coding tools judiciously, confidently identifying erroneous model outputs.

• Transform business concepts into production-ready algorithms.

• Collaborate on technical solutions and provide constructive feedback.

• Engage with teams across Product, Research, and Engineering departments.

• Draft design documents, evaluate trade-offs, and guide decision-making processes.

• Work closely with the Lead Engineer and Principal Algorithms Architect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience delivering production Python within a team setting.

• Proficient in inference methods, especially within economics and business contexts, including time-series models, state-space modeling, probability modeling, and multivariate systems.

• Familiarity with testing, continuous integration, code reviews, documentation, and organized workflows.

• Practical experience with AWS and Docker.

• Capable of working independently, defining project scopes, communicating with stakeholders, and making informed decisions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and statistics.

• Ability to interpret and write mathematical specifications and enhance documented solutions.

• Proficient in using pandas and NumPy for algorithm implementation.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) or a related econometric field.

• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Bayesian inference.

• Nice-to-have: Exposure to optimization techniques.

• Nice-to-have: Proven history of converting mathematical algorithms into production systems.
