Senior Algorithm Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create foundational autonomous driving systems across various regions by integrating perception DNNs with map data.

• Incorporate sensor and external inputs to develop dynamic real-time 3D models for effective planning and navigation.

• Design advanced bird’s-eye-view (BEV) models to facilitate HD mapless driving in intricate urban settings.

• Build fused static obstacle and occupancy grids, and construct occlusion masks to enhance scenario comprehension.

• Lead the team in addressing complex autonomous vehicle challenges and collaborate actively to foster innovation.

• Recruit, onboard, and mentor skilled engineers.

• Create dependable algorithms on extensive datasets across diverse conditions while complying with automotive quality and safety regulations.

• Work closely with perception and planning teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in autonomous vehicles or robotics.

• More than 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.

• A strong passion for robotics and autonomous vehicles.

• A willingness to learn and tackle significant challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly with international teams.

• Strong independent and analytical skills in software engineering.

• Experience in embedded or automotive software development.

• Proficiency in 3D geometry, computer vision, sensor calibration, or state estimation methods (e.g., Kalman/particle filters).

• Extensive industry background with self-driving vehicles.

• Experience in developing real-time computer vision systems.

• Strong skills in API and framework design.
