This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, architect, and construct robust and efficient AI/ML systems tailored for a production environment, with an emphasis on backend distributed systems and microservices, while ensuring system accuracy.
• Oversee cross-functional projects from inception to completion (including scoping, timelines, and dependencies), fostering alignment among Data, Infrastructure, and ML Engineering teams.
• Work closely with AI/ML engineers to refine workflows for model training, real-time inference, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on ML infrastructure, offering guidance to internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure operational excellence and reliability of ML systems by defining and enforcing SLAs related to system performance, such as latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Create tools for effective model management, continuous monitoring, and to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of the entire ML lifecycle.
• Actively participate in mentoring and knowledge sharing to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks for large, distributed, and high-scale ML applications. Experience implementing applications using LLMs and GenAI is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, data structures, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with other languages such as Java or Go.
• Extensive knowledge in deploying scalable machine learning models, including experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with database technologies (such as SQL and NoSQL) and big data processing frameworks (like Spark) is advantageous.
