Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop AI pipelines for the automation of royalty calculations and related processes.

• Incorporate foundational models (LLMs, vision models, etc.) into products using APIs and customized fine-tuning.

• Create and sustain retrieval systems that function effectively at scale.

• Investigate cutting-edge software engineering in AI/ML for media and identify related opportunities for UMG.

• Work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders to deliver, manage, and support products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, ML Ops, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar technical field.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in software/ML engineering.

• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize designs for AI/ML systems, pipelines, and/or applications, and successfully implement them.

• Expertise in quantitative evaluation and benchmarking of cutting-edge AI models.

• Current knowledge of the latest advancements in ML Ops and ML infrastructure, including relevant tools, design patterns, and best practices.

• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus, Weaviate) and information retrieval systems and methodologies.

• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines for media content (video, audio).

• Proficient in Python and widely-used AI/ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain) as well as cloud frameworks (VertexAI, Bedrock, Sagemaker).

• Strong expertise in Git, CI/CD workflows, and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Proficient in Linux environments and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).

• Ability to produce clean, efficient, well-documented, and reusable code.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Inquisitive, self-driven, and proactive.

• Preferred: Experience in training and/or fine-tuning AI models.

• Experience with the integration, fine-tuning, and associated tools for LLMs (e.g., LangChain, Agent frameworks).

• Competency in at least one additional programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java).

• Experience transitioning from Proof of Concept (POC) to production-grade systems.
