Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Designing, creating, and managing systems powered by AI and machine learning.

• Facilitating real-time awareness in the space domain and delivering insights for customers.

• Building scalable data pipelines, deploying models into production, and incorporating AI functionalities into operational frameworks.

• Converting extensive sensor and orbital datasets into intelligent systems that recognize patterns, detect anomalies, and provide predictive insights.

• Overseeing the complete lifecycle of AI solutions—from data and feature pipelines to model deployment, continuous monitoring, and enhancement.

• Assisting in the establishment of best practices for applied AI within LeoLabs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.

• 5-7 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or applied AI roles.

• Current knowledge of the latest advancements in Agentic AI.

• Strong skills in Python and contemporary ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).

• Advanced expertise in SQL and large-scale data processing.

• Proven track record of developing and deploying production-quality machine learning models.

• Experience with large-scale distributed data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Spark).

• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and experimental design.

• Experience in designing and implementing feature engineering pipelines and training workflows.

• Familiarity with MLOps methodologies, including model versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert ambiguous real-world challenges into scalable AI solutions.

• Excellent communication abilities, capable of influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
