Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage production-quality AI functionalities integrated into genuine enterprise solutions.

• Contribute to the creation of internal reusable resources, including reference implementations, design patterns, templates, and delivery playbooks.

• Provide informal mentorship to junior engineers.

• Collaborate effectively with solution architects, platform engineers, and client stakeholders to convert actual business challenges into functional AI designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in software engineering using Python (and/or TypeScript/C#).

• Practical experience in LLM application engineering, including prompt design, tool utilization, and orchestration patterns.

• Strong understanding of retrieval and knowledge patterns, such as embeddings, vector search, and indexing.

• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps best practices, including experiment tracking, evaluation, and packaging.

• Familiar with ML/GenAI concepts and prevalent frameworks.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Adhere to production-grade engineering standards, including testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.

• Ability to communicate clearly in writing.

• Extensive hands-on delivery experience at a senior level with GenAI.

• Proven track record of managing small to mid-sized AI workstreams from start to finish.

• Comfortable collaborating with architects and client stakeholders to define integration patterns.
