Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the entire software stack to bring user journeys into production, taking ownership of implementation quality from architecture to release.

• Design and develop agents that utilize prompts, context, tools, and model reasoning to fulfill user journeys, create content, and automate processes.

• Utilize solid software engineering and system design principles to deliver solutions that are observable, maintainable, scalable, and ready for production.

• Assess solutions against functional requirements using both traditional quality assurance methods, model-based evaluations, and agent tracing to ensure that quality is quantifiable and reproducible.

• Integrate agentic software engineering methodologies into the development workflow throughout the software development life cycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with designers and product managers to define products: brainstorm, explore, and prototype with stakeholders, then refine options to arrive at deliverable yet comprehensive solutions.

• Fully conceptualize and deliver features and MVP iterations early in the product definition phase that directly support high-visibility organizational objectives.

• Achieve an optimal balance between investing in user experience quality and addressing practical business needs throughout the product development cycle.

• Collaborate with other engineering stakeholders to determine technological possibilities and challenges associated with implementing specific products or features. Incorporate this perspective into project scoping and prioritization.

• Disseminate knowledge, techniques, and agentic software engineering practices in asynchronous formats and dedicated forums, such as technical discussions and team meetings.

• Advocate for the use of AI solutions in engineering and product tasks to enhance product velocity and improve the team’s execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional programming experience in web applications and backend environments.

• Expert-level proficiency in Typescript/Javascript or Python; strong working knowledge of contemporary web application frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Rails.

• Practical experience in developing AI and agent-powered features and systems utilizing frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.

• Familiarity with the strengths and limitations of frontier models and open weight models.

• Regular use of agent harnesses like Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, or Pi as part of the daily software development process.

• Experience with continuous delivery practices, including feature flagging and trunk-based development.
