Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement AI agents and workflows, which encompass support automation, voice interactions, and onboarding agents.

• Create, test, and sustain backend applications using Python and either Java or GoLang.

• Produce clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code throughout development, quality assurance, and release phases.

• Architect and execute data models and database schemas.

• Work in conjunction with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of backend systems with the user interface.

• Conduct code reviews and uphold code quality standards.

• Diagnose and resolve issues within applications, including AI agent workflows in a production setting.

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and oversee applications in a production environment utilizing Kubernetes.

• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends related to AI and agentic systems.

• Engage in data integrations throughout the shipper and carrier ecosystem.

• Partner with the US team and clients to influence logistics product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Backend/Software Developer.

• Practical experience with AI/agentic systems.

• Proficient in Python — a must.

• Competence in Java or GoLang.

• At least 2 years of practical experience with LangGraph or comparable agentic frameworks.

• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming concepts.

• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.

• Well-versed in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Practical understanding of Kubernetes.

• Comprehensive Agile SDLC experience, including development, quality assurance, and release.

• Proficient in Git, with knowledge of branches, submodules, and rebasing.

• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms is an advantage.
