Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage AI systems that address real business challenges at Finom.

• Transition seamlessly from prototyping to production.

• Define the solution, construct the system, assess quality, and enhance it over time.

• Contribute to significant projects involving onboarding, customer support, AI accounting, fraud and risk management workflows, document comprehension, internal automation, and agentic systems utilized by various teams.

• Provide production-ready AI functionalities that deliver tangible value to customers and the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A proficient software engineer with extensive Python expertise and a history of delivering production systems.

• Comfortable navigating the entire lifecycle: prompting, retrieval, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and production support.

• Skilled at translating ambiguous business challenges into solid technical solutions.

• Product-oriented and concentrated on genuine user outcomes.

• Independent, pragmatic, and capable of maintaining progress without extensive supervision.

• Clear communicator and adept at collaborating across different functions.

• Inquisitive, proactive, humble, and action-oriented.

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying AI systems in a production environment.

• Strong foundation in Python and software engineering principles.

• Practical experience with LLM applications, including but not limited to: RAG, tool usage, agents, prompt engineering, evaluations, structured outputs, guardrails, or fine-tuning.

• Experience with integrating AI systems into backend or product workflows.

• Ability to create meaningful evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerized deployment methods.

• Strong sense of ownership and capability to navigate ambiguity.

• Actively explores new AI models, tools, and methodologies.

• Solid understanding of the rapidly evolving AI landscape, with the ability to translate relevant advancements into actionable product and engineering strategies.
