Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage agentic AI pipelines to facilitate semantic mapping, dimension mining, and ontology-based reasoning.

• Develop and enhance enterprise ontologies utilizing RDF/OWL.

• Create LLM-powered services for schema comprehension.

• Execute SPARQL queries and reasoning layers over knowledge graphs.

• Architect and deliver Python-based microservices and batch processing pipelines.

• Build and refine dimension and fact generation pipelines on Microsoft Fabric.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards and reusable components for data platforms.

• Collaborate with data architects, subject matter experts, and governance teams.

• Perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and influence technical decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong expertise in Python and Generative AI.

• Practical experience in developing LLM-based systems using either commercial or open-source models.

• Comprehensive understanding of semantic technologies including RDF, OWL, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and SPARQL.

• Experience in designing or working with agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Google ADK, LangChain agents, or similar).

• Robust background in data engineering principles (ETL/ELT, star schemas, metadata-driven pipelines).

• Experience in building and managing systems on cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure / Microsoft Fabric.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work on ambiguous, greenfield platform initiatives.
