This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Contribute to the definition of the technical roadmap for AI implementation, assisting in build-vs-buy decisions, vendor assessments, and architectural strategy.
• Design and architect multi-agent systems and agentic workflows utilizing tool usage, function invocation, planner-executor pipelines, agent swarms, and autonomous task decomposition.
• Develop and sustain AI skills: self-contained automation workflows that function within their own execution context, ensuring quality assurance verification.
• Create context management strategies that include RAG, semantic search, vector embedding pipelines, conversation compaction, long-term memory management, and grounding techniques.
• Expand our MCP server network by integrating new tools, implementing dynamic server discovery, gateway architectures, OAuth 2.1 authentication flows, audit logging, and sandboxed execution.
• Develop real-time streaming interfaces that display AI-generated insights, citations, and structured outputs.
• Engineer solutions for large-scale data challenges involving millions of documents, patent databases, and enterprise systems.
• Implement guardrails, evaluation pipelines, and data governance standards suitable for a regulated legal environment.
• Assess and integrate new models, APIs, and capabilities as they become available from providers such as Anthropic and Microsoft.
• Serve as an internal AI consultant: collect requirements from attorneys and legal personnel, convert business needs into technical solutions, and deliver AI-powered workflow systems that enhance legal and operational processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proven track record in AI architecture, agent-based systems, or intelligent automation, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Demonstrated ability to build agentic AI systems featuring tool usage, function calling, and multi-step workflow execution in a production environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of the Anthropic platform, including Claude models, Messages API, streaming, extended thinking, and Claude Agent SDK.
• Familiarity with Microsoft AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, or related products.
• Experience with MCP or comparable AI-to-tool integration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, custom pipelines, or equivalent.
• Proven experience creating RAG pipelines, semantic search, and document intelligence workflows at scale.
• Proficiency in real-time streaming architectures (SSE, WebSockets, Streamable HTTP) and enterprise authentication (OAuth 2.0/2.1, Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Capability to work across the technology stack: backend APIs, streaming infrastructure, and frontend interfaces.
• Proficient in AI-native development platforms (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) rather than specializing in any single programming language.
• History of independently resolving complex, ambiguous challenges and delivering functional solutions.
• Previous experience in the professional services sector is advantageous.
• Comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Life insurance provided.
• Short-term disability plans available.
• Retirement savings plans offered.
• Paid holidays and time off.
• Flexible hybrid work schedules that combine in-office and remote work days.
