Senior AI Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance backend systems for an AI-driven research and analysis platform developed using Python.

• Construct and refine data ingestion pipelines that extract information from external sources (reviews, data warehouse) into the application layer.

• Integrate large language models (LLMs) and agents into current backend workflows.

• Work closely with a compact, cross-functional team (frontend, DevOps, full-stack) to deliver features from inception to completion.

• Ensure backend services adhere to production standards concerning reliability, performance, and data integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (approximately 8+ years) in Python backend engineering.

• Proven ability to translate business processes into technical requirements or solution designs, preferably in a consulting or client-facing delivery role.

• Experience in managing a roadmap and prioritizing competing initiatives based on feasibility, ROI, and readiness.

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, engaging effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business leaders.

• Experience in structured, production environments.

• Proficient in English, at a native or near-native level.

• Participate in ongoing architectural decisions for a platform that encompasses backend, data, and AI layers.

• Assume complete ownership of backend technical delivery with minimal oversight.

• Convert client research workflows and stakeholder requirements into scalable backend solutions.

• Eagerness and potential to evolve into a technical lead role.
