Senior AI Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design and implementation of scalable, secure, and intelligent data products and AI automation solutions that facilitate HackerOne's transition into an AI-centric organization.

• Develop, refine, and sustain data pipelines and infrastructure that act as the cornerstone for AI-driven systems and autonomous operations.

• Create and implement AI-driven automation solutions that remove routine manual tasks, thereby enhancing human potential for strategic direction, creativity, and edge-case governance.

• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to pinpoint high-impact opportunities for automation, integration, and system modernization.

• Lead the architecture and execution of platform-level functionalities, utilizing AI and contemporary tools to minimize manual efforts, enhance decision-making, and bolster system resilience.

• Offer technical guidance to internal engineers and external development partners, ensuring high design quality, operational excellence, and sustainability over the long term.

• Shape and contribute to our incident response strategy, on-call protocols, playbooks, and processes with a focus on developing systems that fail gracefully and recover swiftly.

• Function as a catalyst to mentor fellow engineers, champion technical excellence, and foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

• Advocate for effective change management and enablement, ensuring that systems are not only launched but also adopted, comprehended, and evolved.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field, with a demonstrated history of leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable data products and AI-based solutions, ideally utilizing Python.

• Extensive practical experience in constructing and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions.

• Significant experience with data technologies and tools, including Airflow and AWS.

• Proficient in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.

• Experienced in designing and delivering AI-driven automation solutions that translate operational requirements into scalable, automated systems.

• Proven history of successfully advocating for new initiatives centered on architectural improvements.

• Established track record of making a considerable impact across the organization, showcasing your ability to drive positive change and achieve notable results.

• Strong commitment to customer-centricity and empathy for business stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven narratives effectively in verbal, presentation, and written forms.
