This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of a well-organized, prioritized backlog that aligns with business objectives, customer requirements, and product strategies.
• Convert product roadmaps and priorities into features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that teams can implement effectively.
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure tasks are prepared, clearly defined, testable, and comply with delivery standards.
• Prioritize tasks based on customer value, business impact, risk factors, dependencies, and team capacity.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that delivery teams comprehend stakeholder and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineers, QA, and Operations teams to define and implement solutions.
• Validate completed work and ensure that features meet requirements, quality benchmarks, and customer expectations.
• Utilize Jira or similar Agile tools to oversee backlog health, track story progress, identify blockers, and manage dependencies.
• Support Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, demos, and Inspect & Adapt activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks, blockers, dependencies, and prioritization conflicts, escalating issues when necessary.
• Coordinate release readiness activities, which include communications, documentation, user preparedness, and post-release validation.
• Monitor delivery, quality, customer feedback, and operational metrics to enhance team performance and outcomes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Product Owners and Agile team members in backlog management, story creation, prioritization, and customer value delivery.
• Advocate for Agile principles, collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and a customer-centric approach.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience as an Agile Product Owner in Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, ART, or other large-scale Agile frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in translating business and customer needs into features, user stories, and actionable backlog items.
• Proven capability to manage backlogs, acceptance criteria, definitions of ready, and definitions of done.
• Strong knowledge of Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI Planning, and release management processes.
• Experience with Jira or comparable Agile project management tools.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships and influence stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, prioritization, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in coaching Product Owners and enhancing Agile delivery practices.
• Proficient in managing competing priorities, navigating ambiguity, and resolving dependencies and risks.
• Strong focus on customer needs with the ability to balance business value, technical feasibility, and delivery obligations.
