This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the strategy, tactics, and execution of pollution and public health campaigns, including managing the daily operations of cross-departmental campaign staff.
• Ensure accountability for meeting performance metrics among cross-team staff and oneself.
• Collaborate across Climate Power to align team efforts and priorities with the objectives and goals of the pollution and public health campaign.
• Supervise the Project Manager and any consultants as required.
• Establish metrics for the pollution and public health campaign in partnership with campaign staff and departmental leaders.
• Anticipate requirements for upcoming initiatives or pivotal moments, identifying proactive engagement opportunities for Climate Power.
• Create and oversee the campaign budget while supporting fundraising initiatives related to the campaign.
• Cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as an “on the record” spokesperson for Climate Power when necessary.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in political communications, encompassing both electoral and issue advocacy.
• At least 5 years of experience in people and/or project management, showcasing expertise in leading departments, diverse teams, and managing intricate projects.
• Proven experience in collaborating with partners, allied organizations, and coalitions within the progressive community, particularly with climate and environmental groups.
• Experience engaging with high-profile stakeholders, including managing meetings, agendas, and overseeing daily interactions.
• Proficient in building consensus, resolving conflicts, and effectively managing communication across departments.
• Capability to foster trust and confidence among peers and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative campaign efforts.
• Strong collaborative spirit with co-workers to generate ideas, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives.
• Outstanding written communication and presentation competencies.
• Strong strategic campaign skills and adept writing abilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced campaign setting with unpredictable hours and high-pressure scenarios.
• Relevant experience on the Hill is advantageous, though not mandatory.
