Senior Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• The Adjuster III is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and adjusting assigned claims, which generally involve medium to complex non-litigated and litigated general liability, third-party automobile bodily injury, and property damage claims.

• Must possess the legal and technical qualifications necessary to competently manage all claims and handle more intricate litigated cases.

• Investigate, assess, and ascertain the extent of the client's liability regarding personal, casualty, or property loss or damages.

• Communicate with or interview client employees, medical professionals, agents, witnesses, or claimants to gather information.

• Acquire all essential reports and documents to analyze and evaluate the loss or damages and strive to negotiate settlements with claimants when suitable.

• Evaluate and estimate vehicle or property damage.

• Collect information through interviews and examine evidence to determine its support for claims.

• Gather physical evidence and inspect properties to assess damages.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year college degree is preferred.

• Have extensive knowledge related to the management of public entity liability claims.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in insurance claims, self-insurance, pooled insurance, or Joint Powers Authorities (JPAs).

• At least three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Windows on a PC, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience with streaming video conferencing tools such as Teams and Zoom, including the capability to schedule and host group meetings with all available features.

• At least two (2) years of experience with claims management software and/or the ability to quickly adapt to new software systems related to claims management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
