Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately and promptly verify and post both routine and complex customer payments.

• Process and document ACH, wire, and lockbox payments.

• Reconcile payment discrepancies in collaboration with Receivables, Customer Service, and internal stakeholders.

• Manage adjustments, write-offs, and refunds effectively.

• Investigate accounting processes and reconcile discrepancies in bank accounts against system data.

• Assist the Team Leader in developing, maintaining, and executing controlled processes and procedures.

• Oversee shared inboxes, investigate inquiries, and communicate results within specified turnaround times.

• Recognize and implement AI and automation opportunities to enhance operations and reduce risks.

• Engage in ad hoc projects as needed.

• Provide training for other Accounts Receivable Specialists.

• Maintain advanced knowledge of systems and processes across various business lines.

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on process documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm ET.

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in PC-based application software, particularly Google Sheets.

• Committed to process enhancements and innovation; possesses comprehensive knowledge of industry trends; actively mentors peers while striving for advanced expertise.

• Exceptional time management, prioritization, goal-setting, planning, and scheduling skills.

• Proven project management skills and capacity to drive projects to timely completion.

• Must successfully complete a background investigation.
