Senior Accounting Manager – Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting

📋 Description

• Conduct research and apply intricate accounting regulations pertaining to share-based compensation, debt, business combinations, restructuring, foreign exchange, derivative instruments, and other relevant areas.

• Create and maintain global accounting policies.

• Perform technical accounting research and draft technical accounting memorandums.

• Develop, implement, and communicate new accounting policies and processes to align with recently issued accounting standards.

• Facilitate training on new accounting pronouncements and corporate policies.

• Oversee the global lease accounting process and related disclosures.

• Manage accounting for equity, including equity-based compensation plans, and assist in updating stock-based compensation expense forecasts.

• Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and fair representation of the company’s financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP, including SEC filings such as Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.

• Stay updated on new SEC and FASB disclosure requirements and revise SEC documents accordingly.

• Maintain consistency between technical accounting positions, external disclosures, and internal reporting.

• Assist in preparing earnings support materials and audit deliverables.

• Support management’s compliance with SOX 404 related to financial reporting and technical accounting matters.

• Ensure thorough documentation of key controls, policies, and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal audit to address control deficiencies, remediation strategies, and process enhancements.

• Act as a primary liaison with external auditors and consultants.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to regional controllers and finance leadership.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

• Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

• Provide continuous training and development opportunities for team members.

• Work closely with technical accounting, tax, treasury, legal, investor relations, FP&A, and internal audit teams.

• Be open to undertaking special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA Certification.

• Over 10 years of experience in Technical Accounting & SEC reporting with current knowledge of US GAAP.

• More than 5 years of team leadership experience in a finance or accounting setting.

• Previous experience with Workiva, HFM, and Microsoft Suite.
