This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the senior accounting lead for various clients, ensuring that deliverables are accurate and timely, in line with expectations.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, transaction flows, financial drivers, and reporting structures.
• Recognize and manage discrepancies between client processes and Dine standards.
• Facilitate client discussions to present financial reports, clarify variances, and offer actionable insights.
• Provide clients with advice on process enhancements, controls, and industry best practices.
• Supervise the accounting cycle and closing process across different teams.
• Assess financial statements, reconciliations, and complex accounting areas for anomalies and risks.
• Identify and address or escalate risks, irregularities, and inefficiencies.
• Proactively identify issues, formulate solutions, and drive their resolution.
• Serve as a point of escalation for Accounting Managers, clients, and internal teams.
• Guide, mentor, and develop Accounting Managers and offshore teams.
• Ensure accountability for quality, timelines, ownership, delegation, and responsibilities.
• Assess workflows and team performance, including hours relative to budget.
• Promote improvements that minimize rework, streamline processes, and create additional time.
• Execute root cause analyses and implement sustainable, long-term solutions.
• Maintain expertise in Dine systems, tools, workflows, and accounting standards.
• Contribute to operational enhancements and company initiatives.
• Foster scalable growth by increasing clarity, reducing friction, and improving processes.
• Experience with Restaurant365 is highly preferred, or experience with at least two other ERPs is required.
• Required multi-unit restaurant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management position.
• Advanced accounting expertise, encompassing full-cycle oversight, complex reconciliations, and financial statement reviews with a focus on risks and anomalies.
• Outstanding client management and communication skills, including the ability to present financials, elucidate insights, and provide advice on process enhancements.
• Consistent judgment, ownership, and follow-through.
• Mindset geared towards process optimization and the ability to enhance workflows, boost efficiency, and support standardized operations.
• Strong organizational and oversight skills across multiple clients, teams, and priorities.
• CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the US.
