Senior Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Complete operations accounts payable, accruals, and payroll from start to finish (Deel, Rippling, Brex).

• Prepare 1099 forms and ensure vendor compliance.

• Document processes and continuously optimize the accounting function.

• Maintain integrity during month-end close, including bank and account reconciliations and providing close support.

• Analyze Opex fluctuations and produce variance reports.

• Promote ongoing improvement and automation within the closing process.

• Conduct financial reporting and perform technical accounting research and application, including drafting memos and footnotes.

• Assist in budgeting and financial planning, with potential to grow into FP&A roles over time.

• Provide support for external audits, including preparation of the PBC list and responding to auditor requests.

• Aid in the preparation and review of GAAP financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of comprehensive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and in fast-growing startups.

• CPA certification is mandatory.

• Extensive knowledge of fundamental accounting processes: closing, accounts payable, accruals, amortization, general ledger, reconciliations, reporting, and controls.

• Experience with consolidations across multiple entities and intercompany accounting.

• Strong grasp of revenue accounting principles (ASC 606) and loan accounting (ASC 310).

• Proven track record in implementing or migrating an ERP, with a solid understanding of how accounting systems should be structured for scalability.

• Advanced skills in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables); adept at working with large datasets, data flows, and identifying the root causes of discrepancies.

• Experience serving as a primary contact or key contributor in managing or supporting financial audits.
