This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Operate autonomously, executing intricate accounting tasks encompassing general accounting, fixed assets, operational accounting, capitalized software, debt, leasing, eliminations, accruals, prepaids, equity, and more.
• Oversees, evaluates, and audits accounts to guarantee precision, appropriate documentation, and adherence to relevant procedures and regulations; assesses financial reports and statements; employs SOX methodologies to uphold the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Examine the work conducted by others, including but not limited to invoices, vendor details, journal entries, allocations, non-controlling interests, eliminations, prepaids, accruals, cash, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and/or assess monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as designated.
• Analyze financial data and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
• Provide support to management for ad hoc requests.
• Collaborate with managers and internal teams to uphold processes and controls related to designated areas of responsibility.
• Engage in the annual, quarterly, and monthly processes with both internal and external audit teams.
• Assist with SEC reporting as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to all internal policies, applicable regulations, and accounting standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in a public corporate accounting environment, including shared services.
• Over 10 years of experience in a corporate accounting setting within a public company, including some management experience.
• Previous experience with SOX compliance.
• Highly advanced abilities, demonstrating leadership in initiatives requiring definition, collaboration, and conflict resolution across all organizational levels, including senior leadership and C-Suite executives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with NetSuite, SmartView, and FloQast is a plus.
• Proven track record of working with US-based business teams.
• Ability to work within core US business hours/time zone expectations—Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap.
