This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee all facets of operational accounting, with a strong emphasis on revenue recognition.
• Additional responsibilities encompass cost of sales, accounts receivable, commissions, and other accounting functions essential for supporting the operational team.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of revenue recognition policies and procedures in alignment with US GAAP (ASC 606), along with pertinent FASB and SEC guidance.
• Examine customer contracts and assess the implications of complex or non-standard transactions.
• Ensure full compliance with all internal policies, applicable regulations, and accounting principles, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404.
• Support all operational accounting functions throughout the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Analyze financial data to deliver value-added insights, clarity, trends, and risks to operational teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations and Finance.
• Assist management with ad hoc requests.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and US GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in its absence.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to apply them practically in various business situations.
• Proven track record in job responsibilities, including multiple examples of achieving results and demonstrating significant progress in fast-paced environments.
• Capacity to work independently and identify new methods and procedures that enhance productivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to analyze complex information and reach clear, concise conclusions; excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, adept at gathering information and fostering cooperation.
• Ability to meet deadlines while upholding the highest standards of integrity to ensure the completeness and accuracy of work.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach with the ability to work alongside business units, accounting, and finance functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic, virtual environment that demands self-motivation and adaptability.
• Previous experience with NetSuite and FloQast is advantageous.
