Senior Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, which include GL operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews in accordance with US GAAP.

• Conduct research and document technical accounting positions related to revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations (ASC 805), and internal-use software (ASC 350-40).

• Clearly communicate technical accounting conclusions to both executives and non-accountants.

• Lead the financial reporting process and provide support during external audits.

• Develop the internal controls framework as the company expands.

• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidated financials for both domestic and international entities.

• Define the scope and implement accounting systems, ERP tools, and automation processes.

• Collaborate with legal, product, and business development teams on product launches, monetization changes, and M&A activities.

• Establish and document accounting policies for activities related to a crypto-native platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active CPA license is mandatory.

• 8 to 10 years or more of progressive accounting experience is required.

• Direct experience with both high-growth private companies and public company settings is essential.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting is strongly preferred.

• In-depth technical knowledge of GAAP is necessary.

• Capability to research complex accounting topics, compose clear memos, and convey conclusions to non-accounting audiences.

• Experience in leading a close process within a high-transaction-volume environment.

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Comfort with modern finance tools; familiarity with Ramp, Brex, or a contemporary ERP system is expected.

• Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools.

• Strong Excel skills with the capability to build and manage financial models.

• Experience in crypto accounting or with digital asset platforms is advantageous.

• SQL skills or a willingness to learn is preferred.

• Experience in international accounting, multi-entity consolidations, or M&A transactions is a plus.
