
Senior Accounting & Finance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Director of Finance in managing global accounting operations.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and complies with GAAP standards.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, which include managing the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, and preparing financial statements.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Analyze financial outcomes and deliver insights to support business and executive decision-making.
• Supervise global payroll operations and guarantee timely, precise payments across various jurisdictions.
• Manage and optimize payroll platforms such as Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.
• Ensure compliance with international payroll regulations, tax obligations, and labor laws.
• Oversee client invoicing, revenue tracking, collections, and revenue recognition processes.
• Develop scalable billing and revenue systems.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure alignment of contracts, CRM data, invoicing, and revenue reporting.
• Monitor cash flow related to payroll, vendor payments, and receivables.
• Assess and optimize financial systems, workflows, and automation.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance processes and controls.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• An MBA is preferred.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience in managing global payroll and multi-entity accounting environments.
• Advanced understanding of general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial closing processes.
• Practical experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; QuickBooks is strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong grasp of revenue recognition, billing systems, and the alignment of sales operations.
• Hands-on experience with Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.
• In-depth knowledge of international payroll operations, contractor payments, and currency management.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to executive leadership.
• High attention to detail and capacity to excel in a hands-on environment.
• Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or technology-driven companies is advantageous.
• Must be available during standard US business hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM EST.
