Senior Accounting & Controlling Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Accounting Leadership: Manage the complete accounting cycle, including journals, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, as well as month-end and year-end processes. Provide mentorship to the Operations Assistant regarding AP/AR.

• Multi-Entity Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison for accounting partners in the UK, France, the US, and Spain. Review and authorize subsidiary financial statements and tax documents. Assist with audits, statutory submissions, and transfer pricing matters.

• Payroll & Payments: Oversee comprehensive payroll functions across various jurisdictions. Conduct regular AP cycles to ensure availability of funds, eliminating the need for follow-up from the CEO.

• Reporting & Controlling: Deliver timely financial reports, KPI dashboards, budget comparisons, variance analyses, and cash flow statements. Challenge departmental leaders when significant discrepancies from the budget arise; present root cause analyses to the CEO with clear supporting data.

• Data Integrity: Optimize workflows among Sales, Account Management, Implementation, and Finance to reduce reconciliation issues.

• Automation & AI: Lead the integration of AI within the Finance department. Transition manual processes to AI and no-code automation solutions (such as Anthropic Claude, n8n, Notion, and Zapier). Aim for a Finance operation that is driven by systems rather than hours worked.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in accounting, including 3-5+ years in a senior or managerial position.

• Practical experience with IFRS in a multi-entity context; familiarity with Swiss GAAP and transfer pricing is a significant advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; additional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, MSc, MBA, or equivalent are beneficial.

• Proficient in QuickBooks; advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with Chargebee is a plus.

• Demonstrable experience in implementing AI or automation within a finance setting.

• Fluent in professional English; proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is advantageous.

• Experience in SaaS or scale-up environments is preferred; exposure to SQL is a plus.
