Senior Accounting Associate – Aerospace, Defense, Government

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

• Ensure timely updates regarding project progress both internally and externally.

• Collaborate within a team to deliver outsourced accounting services for various clients.

• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, GAAP-compliant financial statement packages, and analytical support worksheets.

• Oversee client invoicing preparation, with a thorough understanding of billing requirements for federal contractors.

• Collaborate closely with tax and audit associates to ensure accuracy in GAAP and tax accounting.

• Gain technical proficiency in multiple cloud-based accounting software systems.

• Prepare and review monthly closing entries, including payroll, fringe benefits, prepaid expenses, and liability accruals.

• Operate independently in a highly flexible, remote working environment utilizing MS Teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

• 2-4 years of experience in Accounting.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Unanet is preferred.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a highly flexible, remote model utilizing MS Teams.
