Senior Accountant, USG Contracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reports to: Controller

• Responsible for guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of financial records

• Lead essential activities including financial reporting, month-end closing, monthly invoicing for U.S. Government (USG) contracts, budgeting, and financial analysis

• Prepare monthly invoices for the U.S. Government (USG) and related reconciliations

• Collaborate with Finance, Program Controls, and R&D teams to formulate annual budgets

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate financial records by reviewing, reconciling, and recording monthly transactions

• Provide reconciled general ledger activity, BARDA invoices, and labor reporting data to aid in monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and program analysis

• Assist with annual audits, including Uniform Guidance and Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) audits

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline

• At least nine years of accounting experience, particularly in U.S. Government (USG) contract accounting

• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Government contracting requirements, cost principles, and invoicing procedures

• Proficiency in NetSuite, including NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB), or comparable accounting software

• Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll systems

• Experience with ClickTime or equivalent timekeeping software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word, as well as Zoom video conferencing

• Proven integrity, accountability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

• Strong capability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
