This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Accountable for all facets of accounting and finance at the venue level
• Management of the month-end closing process
• Maintenance of the flashing balance sheet
• Conducting forecasting activities
• Daily reconciliation of revenue
• Handling accounts payable functions
• Management of cash and related procedures
• Support for operational management
• Maintenance of tax and licensing requirements
• Management of band payment processes
• Overseeing office management and supplies
• Administration of accounts receivable
• Cultivating vendor and guest relationships
• Management of foundation membership processes
• Supervising lead auditors, cashiers, and purchasing managers
• Responsible for the cash room, safe, and lock boxes
• Supervising accounts payable, including approvals, coding, input, and accuracy review
• Matching invoices to purchase orders
• Managing daily sales and cash reconciliation
• Investigating and explaining any variances
• Preparing and distributing daily flash reports, comp reports, weekly cost of sales, and weekly labor reports, alongside profit and loss forecasting and maintaining checkbook accounting
• Ensuring the accuracy of all reports
• Providing necessary information to home office club accounting for period close
• Reviewing period-end GL details with department heads
• Preparing monthly tax returns
• Overseeing all local and state audits of club financial records
• Tracking and collecting accounts receivable
• Supervising physical inventory counts
• Actively participating in physical inventory at least once per period, comparing actual figures to perpetual and explaining any variances
• Reviewing and providing input to Talent Buyer forecasting in the MIDAS system
• Preparing fiscal operations and financial plans for the respective club
• Responsible for the weekly update and reforecast of the Present View annual forecasting model based on actual and updated data
• Implementing new financial procedures and systems in the respective club
• Responsible for training and developing operations managers in the “Essentials of Finance”
• Identifying and executing profit enhancement opportunities
• Assisting with special projects as assigned
• Ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Procedures, as well as financial and operational controls
• Conducting analysis and special projects as requested by the home office controller or General Manager
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong foundation in accounting
• At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable
• 2-3 years of experience in staff management
• Background in cash management
• Strong communication and interaction skills with executive-level management
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience with a national-level integrated General Ledger software system (Oracle)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Flexibility in schedule (days/nights, weekends, and holidays)
