Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Ensure the integrity and precision of the general ledger.

• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures for various legal entities and jurisdictions.

• Guarantee compliance with IFRS while assisting with statutory reporting and tax obligations.

• Conduct intricate reconciliations, including intercompany and multi-currency transactions.

• Support successful external audits.

• Provide timely and accurate financial data to aid management in decision-making.

• Propel continuous process enhancements and automation initiatives to improve financial controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in General Accounting and General Ledger functions.

• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with operations across various jurisdictions, especially Egypt and GCC countries (UAE, KSA), is preferred.

• Prior experience in a Big Four audit firm is strongly preferred.

• A professional accounting qualification or active pursuit of certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent is greatly favored.

• Solid practical knowledge of IFRS.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Odoo (experience with Odoo is a plus).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Capable of preparing professional reports and communicating effectively with auditors, advisors, and stakeholders in English.
