This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Engage in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all assigned deadlines are successfully met.
• Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and corresponding balance sheet reconciliations for various venues.
• Compile and assess account reconciliations, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
• Analyze financial outcomes and clarify significant variations.
• Generate and reconcile event profit and loss (P&L) reports post-event, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate supporting documentation in collaboration with the operations team.
• Reconcile financial results of events and investigate differences between event settlements and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure prompt processing of artist settlement payments.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash activities to verify accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Compile information and supportive schedules for tax reporting purposes.
• Assist with both internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and ensuring timely responses.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes through automation, standardization, and ongoing improvements.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges and support operational initiatives.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end closing processes.
• Proficient in preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and conducting account reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
• Experience with Oracle, Oracle Fusion, or comparable ERP systems.
• Background in supporting accounting for multiple entities, locations, or business units is preferred.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is advantageous.
