
Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Direct the coordination and implementation of external audits, acting as the main contact for audit inquiries.
• Organize and conduct operational and financial audits, formulating recommendations based on the results.
• Investigate and interpret accounting guidelines; establish and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Review and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and monthly closing tasks.
• Examine fluctuations in the balance sheet and income statement, pinpointing root causes and trends.
• Assist in the monthly consolidation of various entities and the creation of management reporting packages.
• Prepare materials for board meetings, annual audit reports, and quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Spearhead initiatives to improve reporting processes, controls, and operational effectiveness.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses, special projects, and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and/or statutory reporting.
• Experience in supporting or leading external audit activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Background in reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
