
Senior Accountant – Corporate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee various elements of the accounting function for the corporate entity within the Stagwell network.
• Execute management reporting responsibilities for the client.
• Deliver monthly financial results analysis to leaders of Shared Services functions.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and record journal entries along with necessary documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Create balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS, as applicable.
• Manage the accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other corporate accounting domains.
• Aid external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Analyze financial outcomes and clarify significant variances.
• Work collaboratively with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other business functions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in ERP implementations, system upgrades, and finance transformation initiatives as necessary.
• Preferred experience with large ERP and accounting software, such as SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, NetSuite, or Maconomy.
• Experience in corporate accounting.
• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Basic understanding of the technical aspects of account analyses and financial statements.
• Capability to reconcile accounts and perform general ledger analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Basic Excel proficiency, including functions such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
