
Senior Accountant – Corporate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Oversee various aspects of the accounting function for the Corporate entity within the Stagwell network.
• Execute management reporting responsibilities for the client.
• Deliver monthly financial results analysis to leaders of Shared Services functions.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and record journal entries accompanied by supporting documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts effectively.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS, as necessary.
• Manage accounting processes for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other corporate accounting areas.
• Support external audits by assembling schedules and documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Analyze financial results and clarify significant variances.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other business functions.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
• Engage in ERP implementations, system improvements, and finance transformation initiatives as required.
• Report to the Stagwell Core Brand Accounting Manager.
• Preferred experience with large ERP and accounting software, including SAP, Oracle, Intacct, NetSuite, or Maconomy.
• Background in corporate accounting.
• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Basic understanding of the technical components of account analyses and financial statements.
• Capability to reconcile accounts and conduct general ledger analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Basic proficiency in Excel, including SUMIF, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, meet crucial deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Highly organized and self-motivated individual.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Fluent in English.
