This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Actively engaged in the monthly closing process, responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and workpapers. Key focus areas include Investments and Treasury, Stock-based Compensation, COGS and Employee Related Accruals, and Inventory.
• Identify opportunities for automation, streamlining, and enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of monthly closures; effectively utilize the ERP system while striving for improved processes.
• Conduct fluctuation and variance analyses, providing insightful explanations to support accurate monthly financial results.
• Collaborate closely with various internal teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data utilized for accounting purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of data for annual audits and tax compliance.
• Document internal controls and current processes to ensure consistency and repeatability.
• Actively engage in process improvement initiatives and drive the automation of routine procedures within the Accounting Team.
• Undertake strategic initiatives and projects that support the company's growth and scalability, while also assisting with other accounting initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (or in progress) is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in an accounting role; prior experience in public accounting is required.
• Experience with Big 4 firms in audit or tax, as well as industry experience, is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
• High proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday) is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all essential duties, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, including time management and prioritization capabilities to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
