Senior Accountant, Client Accounting – Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning various industries and levels of complexity.

• Foster robust client relationships through proactive communication and insightful financial analysis.

• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.

• Convert financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients.

• Conduct and oversee complex reconciliations (bank, credit card, loans, payroll clearing).

• Manage the complete AP/AR cycle, which includes invoicing, collections, and vendor relations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

• Record and review journal entries while maintaining accurate and clean general ledgers.

• Resolve discrepancies and ensure financials are audit-ready.

• Configure, optimize, and sustain QBO/QBD files according to client specifications.

• Utilize automation tools and bank feeds to enhance efficiency.

• Assist with payroll processing and relevant system integrations as necessary.

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for client engagements.

• Aid in tracking sales tax, filings, and compliance.

• Maintain data accuracy through continuous review, cleanup, and adherence to processes.

• Evaluate work produced by junior team members (Bookkeeper I & II).

• Offer coaching and guidance on best practices and complex transactions.

• Contribute to team development and the sharing of knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.

• 4–6+ years of experience in a multi-client, outsourced accounting environment or a similar context.

• Advanced skills in QBO and QBD.

• Extensive experience with financial reporting, closing processes, and reconciliations.

• Familiarity with payroll, sales tax, and client-facing roles.

• Proficient in working within cloud-based accounting systems and technology-driven environments.
