Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare analyses of general ledger accounts by reviewing transactions to ensure accuracy within the GL account.

• Oversee revenue recognition processes along with managing revenue, WIP, and deferred revenue schedules.

• Collaborate with Staff Accountants to reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis.

• Aid in the aggregation and documentation of month-end expense accruals.

• Prepare journal entries at the end of each month.

• Manage and reconcile all intercompany transactions effectively.

• Investigate and suggest solutions for outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup for various functions within the Shared Service Department.

• Assist with internal and external audits as necessary.

• Help with ad hoc requests as assigned.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software is preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Fundamental knowledge of the technical aspects related to account analyses and financial statements.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis effectively.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of Accounting experience.

• Basic proficiency in Excel is required (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).

• Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

• Highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Fluent in English.

• Must be located in Latam.
