• Functions under the direct supervision of the Controller, providing support for complex accounting tasks.
• Aids in the transition of accounting operations for newly acquired organizations.
• Contributes to initiatives aimed at maintaining balance-sheet integrity.
• Engages in staff training in collaboration with the Controller.
• Implements decisions made by the Controller and assists in enforcing internal controls.
• Facilitates audit readiness and ensures operational continuity.
• Takes ownership of special projects within finance and accounting, working in tandem with the Controller.
• Acts as the project manager for accounting-led initiatives, guided by the Controller.
• Serves as the primary authority on technical accounting issues under the oversight of the Controller.
• Promotes audit readiness and execution in collaboration with the Controller.
• Functions as the main reviewer and trainer for staff accountants across various functions, closely partnering with the Controller.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (a Master’s degree is advantageous).
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including ownership of the month-end close process.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its practical application in a corporate setting.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the complete monthly close process under tight deadlines.
• Experience with revenue recognition and accrual accounting, with ASC 606 exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed asset accounting is a plus.
• Experience in supporting audits and collaborating directly with external auditors.
• Advanced skills in Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and handling large data sets).
• Background with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Workday Financials, QuickBooks, or similar ERP platforms.
• Capability to work across multiple entities and manage intercompany transactions.
• Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader financial perspective.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize assignments, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
