Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate detailed financial statements, which encompass income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure compliance with pertinent accounting standards and regulations under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.

• Establish and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and mitigate fraud risks.

• Assist in the audit procedures.

• Oversee and manage operational expenses to enhance profitability.

• Work collaboratively with sales, operations, and senior management to deliver financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Prepare and review journal entries along with account reconciliations.

• Analyze financial data to pinpoint trends and discrepancies.

• Facilitate improvements in accounting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its practical application during month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Understanding of accounting principles related to journal entries, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.

• Familiarity with internal control frameworks within a lean and resource-limited setting.

• Knowledge of accounting systems and ERP/general ledger software.

• Willingness to utilize AI tools and automation to enhance accounting judgment.

• Strong analytical abilities to detect trends, variances, and discrepancies in financial data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines amidst changing priorities.

• Capability to work independently, take initiative, and handle tasks with minimal supervision.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous conditions and adapt to shifting priorities and business requirements.

• CPA certification or currently pursuing CPA certification, or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
