This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare precise BAS work papers for review, progressing towards ATO portal lodgement as access is granted.
• Ensure complete compliance with Australian GST, PAYG withholding, and ATO reporting requirements.
• Oversee and manage Xero as the primary accounting platform, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and maintain organized, audit-ready financial records.
• Stay updated with Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders on financial matters in a clear and professional manner.
• Support multiple client accounts simultaneously, effectively managing competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism in each engagement.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience with Australian clients.
• Proven experience in BAS preparation with a strong understanding of Australian GST and ATO compliance obligations.
• Experienced in ATO portal lodgement – must possess the qualifications and knowledge to lodge independently (portal access will be granted progressively).
• Strong knowledge of PAYG withholding and its practical application.
• Proficient in Xero with practical experience.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA, CPA, or working towards a professional accounting qualification (highly desirable).
• High level of reliability, consistency, and self-motivation – comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with Xero add-ons (e.g., Dext, Hubdoc, ApprovalMax) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a public practice or multi-client environment is an advantage.
