Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures, which include journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting in alignment with GAAP standards.

• Oversee and reconcile monthly customer billing along with payments received.

• Conduct analysis on customer profitability.

• Perform variance analyses for GL accounts, including collaboration with other departments for research.

• Provide support for the reconciliation of the billing process between SafeRide’s front-end system and vendor payments.

• Prepare and sustain detailed reconciliations for the balance sheet and associated workpapers.

• Review balance sheet reconciliations and other closing tasks completed by team members.

• Assist with annual external financial audits.

• Aid in periodic audits related to state and health plans.

• Contribute to the maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls.

• Support ad hoc accounting projects and initiatives that span multiple functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Proficient in Excel, including skills in pivot tables and v-lookups.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and foundational accounting principles.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct and Quicksight is preferred.

• Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid billing and reconciliation is preferred.
