This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Take ownership of the general ledger; ensure the chart of accounts is precise, well-organized, and consistently applied across all transactions.
• Lead the monthly posting and reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, including but not limited to: Banking, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accrued Compensation, Accrued Payables, Deferred Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Allocations, and Equity.
• Manage and maintain amortization and allocation schedules, including capitalized costs for internally developed software in compliance with ASC 350-40.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll and payroll clearing entries.
• Assess customer collectability and analyze aging receivables; escalate collection risks as necessary.
• Create revenue journal entries in accordance with ASC 606; maintain deferred revenue schedules and reconcile them to the general ledger.
• Prepare entries for stock-based compensation (SBC) and related disclosures in line with ASC 718.
• Prepare accrual entries for month-end, including accrued expenses, unbilled liabilities, and deferred items.
• Assist in the timely and accurate execution of monthly close activities within a 4 business day close schedule.
• Aid in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for management, including Financial Flux Analysis and Debt Compliance.
• Oversee the complete accounts payable (AP) process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate controls.
• Manage the AP email inbox and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies promptly.
• Supervise vendor onboarding processes and maintain accurate vendor records.
• Review and approve vendor bills that have been coded and processed in Bill.com (BILL).
• Conduct and review vendor sub-ledger account reconciliations.
• Manage the reconciliation of corporate credit card transactions through Ramp.
• Lead spend control management within Ramp and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to implement policy enhancements.
• Review and approve employee expense reports following the company's travel and expense (T&E) policy.
• Act as the primary Accounting representative for inquiries and escalations related to expense policies.
• Oversee the monthly customer invoicing process in Intacct, which includes entering monthly customer invoices and managing recurring invoice schedules.
• Support customer onboarding from an accounts receivable (AR) perspective, serving as the point of contact for billing questions.
• Lead reviews of customer aging and manage the collections process for outstanding receivables.
• Maintain reconciliations for customer sub-ledger accounts.
• Manage deferred revenue schedules and ensure proper recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance, including monthly and quarterly filings using Anrok.
• Manage state business registrations and payroll tax compliance.
• Supervise the processing of Company 1099s & 3921s.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager as a strategic partner to FP&A for vendor spend analysis, personnel cost tracking, and variance explanations.
• Provide financial data and analysis to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles.
• Manage headcount reconciliation and collaborate with FP&A on workforce planning inputs.
• Address complex ad hoc financial analysis requests from FP&A and senior business leaders.
• Work in partnership with Finance, HR, and Sales Operations on deal structures, billing, and compensation accounting.
• Assist with the annual external audit by preparing PBC schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing necessary documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Ensure that audit schedules are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Document and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all core accounting functions.
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities for automation and enhancement of accounting processes through AI or system integrations; collaborate with internal teams to execute these improvements.
• Drive scalable process enhancements as the company expands and the Accounting function evolves.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles, including ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 350-40.
• Proven ownership of full-cycle AP, AR, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficient in Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system.
• Experience with Bill.com (BILL) and Ramp or similar expense management platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX MATCH, and financial modeling).
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to management.
• A self-motivated individual who can work independently and assumes full responsibility for complex accounting functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating data into clear insights.
