Senior Accountant, Captive Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Prepare or coordinate financial statements, regulatory submissions, reconciliations, and other client deliverables as required for a portfolio of captive insurance clients.

• Review insurance and corporate documentation while ensuring accurate and current record-keeping.

• Address client, regulatory, and internal team inquiries promptly with a high degree of professionalism and service.

• Assist in fostering communications and relationships with clients, auditors, bankers, legal advisors, and other service providers.

• Aid in the preparation for and participation in client Board of Director meetings.

• Contribute to special projects, reporting initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts that enhance the team and client experience.

• Provide daily support to guarantee the seamless operation of the Company and the assigned client accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience in accounting, captive insurance, financial reporting, or regulated environments.

• CPA designation (or progress toward completion) is considered an asset.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with a robust client-service orientation.

• Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

• Willingness to travel as necessary based on circumstances.
